THE CITY OF HAMPTON WILL HAVE
36 STATE DELEGATES, PLUS 9 ALTERNATES:
Delegates and Alternates will be elected at an unassembled caucus on
Saturday, April 20, from 1 pm to 3 pm.
*Delegates and Alternates cover their own costs to attend the VA-3rd Congressional District Convention in Norfolk, the State Convention in Richmond and the National Convention in Chicago.

FILE AN ELECTRONIC DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY FORM
The second step is for qualifying candidates committed to nominating the Democratic candidate for President of the United States to file an electronic Deceleration of Candidacy form and submit the voluntary administrative filing fee of $15 no later than 5 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024. The filing form can be completed here and voluntary payments can be made here.

VOTE AT THE HDC UNASSEMBLED CAUCUS
Every Democrat who is a registered voter in Hampton, Virginia, is urged to attend and participate in the HDC unassembled caucus on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Hampton Public Library, 4207 Victoria Blvd., Hampton, VA 23669. The purpose of the caucus is to elect delegates and alternates to the Virginia 3rd Congressional District Convention and the Virginia Democratic State Convention. If you are elected as a delegate or alternate to the state convention, you can run to be a National Delegate.*

ATTEND THE VA-3RD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT CONVENTION
Hampton District Delegates are expected to attend the VA-3rd Congressional District Convention to elect District Delegates and Alternates to the National Convention in Chicago. The VA-3rd Congressional District Convention will be held in person on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Norfolk, VA.

ATTEND THE VA STATE CONVENTION
Hampton District Delegates are expected to attend the Virginia Democratic Party Convention to elect At-Large Delegates, At-Large Electors, and Pledged Party Leaders to the Democratic National Convention. The Virginia State Convention will be held in person on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Richmond, Virginia.
